Carrot juice – the king of vegetable juices

Freshly squeezed carrot juice has a strong healing effect because it contains large amounts of vitamins C, D, E, K, B1, B2 and B6. It is extremely rich in biotin, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, organic sodium and phytonutrients. It contains a lot of beta-carotene (provitamin A), from which our body makes exactly as much vitamin A (retinol) as it needs at the moment. This makes it extremely beneficial and preferable to tablets or syrups containing ready-made vitamin A, which carry a risk of overdose.

200 to 300 ml of fresh carrot juice a day will ensure good eyesight, healthy mucous membranes, clean skin as smooth as velvet, beautiful hair, strong nails and – most importantly – protect us from viruses and infections. To improve beta-carotene absorption, you can add a few drops of olive oil.

Carrot juice cleanses the liver and gallbladder of retained pigments. For this reason the skin may take on a yellow-orange tint, but this need not worry you, as it is short-lived and a sign of cleansing – that is, of these organs healing. The high potassium content regulates blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke. Combined with spinach juice, it improves the work of the large intestine.

Juices should be drunk immediately after they are made, in the morning on an empty stomach or at least 30 minutes before lunch or dinner, never straight after a meal. Only then will they be truly beneficial.
